We serve schools, parks, municipalities, and daycares across Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Our team handles everything from surface selection to installation to ongoing maintenance.

Case Study

Second Home Childcare | Swansea, MA

Premier Park & Play installed rubber playground surfacing for Second Home Child Care: a 2/3 green and 1/3 black blend applied to meet industry safety standards in a fun geometric shape. I am happy with the work. The crew that came out was excellent. Crew lead was great on communication and worked efficiently to get this done just in time for the event. I would highly recommend. Thank you for everything in this project! ~ Whitney, Second Home Child Care Owner

PPP recommended poured-in-place rubber for the main play area with EWF as a cost- saving option for the secondary zone. Installed in 11 days. We supplied all inspection documentation and the school passed its next safety audit without a single comment.

Common Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most from schools, parks & municipalities before they commit.

It depends on your budget, ADA requirements, traffic level, and aesthetic preferences. EWF is most cost-effective. Rubber mulch is best for durability. Poured-in-place is best for full ADA compliance and high-traffic areas. We’ll give you an honest recommendation on the free site visit — not just quote the most expensive option.

Yes. Every surface we install is ASTM F1292 compliant for fall protection and we provide full documentation — including IPEMA certification letters and CPSC audit records — so your inspector has everything they need in one package.

Most surfacing projects take 2–5 days. Poured-in-place rubber requires a cure time of 24–48 hours after installation. We work around your schedule — including school breaks and park operating hours.

It depends on the existing surface condition and what’s being installed. For poured-in-place, we typically remove and dispose of old material. For EWF or rubber mulch top-ups, we assess whether existing material can be retained. We’ll inspect on the free site visit and give you a clear recommendation.

Poured-in-place rubber is the gold standard for ADA accessibility. Unlike loose-fill surfaces, it creates a seamless, firm, and stable surface with no gaps or displacement — meeting ADA path-of-travel requirements for wheelchair and mobility device access throughout the entire play area. It eliminates tripping hazards at transitions, allows for compliant routes from accessible parking to play equipment, and can be customized to clearly mark accessible pathways with contrasting colors. If full ADA compliance is a requirement for your project, poured-in-place is the surface we recommend.
