Doug Knotts, the owner of Premier Park & Play offers over 30 years of consulting and installation experience in the park and playground industry. With a master’s degree in Recreation, Sports, and Leisure Management from Northeastern University, Doug specializes in playground safety, layout, and evolving play trends.
Doug’s extensive experience helps him to about create community spaces that are both safe and innovative, while utilizing high-quality equipment, eco-friendly solutions, and options that meet a range of budget needs.
Doug’s expertise spans every step of playground development, from initial planning to final installation, but his true excitement comes after project completion. There’s nothing he enjoys more than returning to these parks and playgrounds to witness firsthand the joy and connection they bring to communities.

Emily joined Premier Park & Play after completing several successful projects during her tenure as Parks and Recreation Director for the Town of Clinton, MA and has been with the company for over 5 years. Passionate about creating vibrant, accessible, and sustainable spaces for communities, she stays current on industry developments and child-led playground trends, ensuring that every project reflects the latest best practices for engagement and safety. She has led numerous projects from conception through to completion, always prioritizing community needs. Known for her approachable, solutions-focused style, Emily takes pride in fostering positive relationships and delivering high-quality services that enhance public spaces and experiences. With over a decade of experience in the Parks and Recreation industry, Emily brings a wealth of expertise in project management and customer service.
