Typical welds are especially vulnerable to rusting, but not on our Premium Bike Racks! We start with triple coated galvanized steel and stainless steel attachment plates, securely fastened with stainless steel welding wire. We require our welders to create super-smooth welds, preventing jagged edges that would be susceptible to chipping. The whole unit is then powder coated with a high gloss polyester for years of corrosion-free service. Meets standards for ASTM B-117 and ASTM D-165. Industry average steel recycled content: 85% minimum.
